The Edge Dental Care Team
Edge Dental Care is a quality dental practice with a quality team. We work hard behind the scenes to bring you the best dental care in Edgecliff. Each member of our dental team has an important role to play in bringing you the highest standard of dental care on offer. So if you’d like to get to know us as much as we’d like to get to know you, then you’re in the right place.
Dr Sara Lassemillante
Sara graduated from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2004, then worked in a family dental practice in the North East of England. In 2010 she spent a month in the Indian Himalayas as a volunteer for the Himalyan Dental Project (www.himalayan-dentistry.com/volunteers-donors) and Wisdom Tooth (www.wisdomtooth.org) providing quality dental care, training staff and introducing an appointment and record system for staff and pupils at Lamdon School. Following this she travelled around South East Asia, then spent 9 months exploring the states and territories of Australia.
Sara has been living and working in Sydney since 2011 and is now a proud Australian citizen. She took over ownership of Edge Dental Care from Dr. Phillip Zoldan when he decided to retire, choosing this particular Edgecliff dental practice because she was impressed with the high standards of clinical treatment and that all team members were interested in and knew every patient with genuine familiarity.
Kiara is our first port of call on front reception at Edge Dental Care. She has been attending the dental practice since she was 3 years old whilst it was still under the ownership of Dr. Phillip Zoldan and has been working behind the front desk since early 2016 after she decided to take some time off from her studies. Kiara kept herself busy tutoring students in Maths and English right up until just recently and now, after almost 3 years at Edge Dental Care, she has decided it’s time for a change and will be finishing up with us in December 2018.
“Working at Edge Dental Care has been an incredible experience and I’ve practically grown up here! I’m going to miss all the lovely patients that I’ve come to know so well over the years and my one of a kind team. It’s been an absolute pleasure and I will always remember the great times and the laughs.”
Melinda joined us in August 2018 and has been a crucial part of the team ever since. She graduated from Hunter TAFE in 2016 and has been a dental nurse for three years. She has helped make a lot of positive changes around the practice to help us run more efficiently which in turn, means even better care and treatment for our patients. Her bubbly personality and kind heart leaves our patients feeling at ease and well-looked after.
Jade was our lovely dental nurse who took over from Liz and worked with us up until August 2018. Her experience and professionalism made her a great addition to the team. Jade is a fully qualified personal trainer so you might catch her training clients and keeping active at her local gym.
Elizabeth was a dental assistant and receptionist at Edge Dental Care. Originally from North London, she worked in a hospital dental clinic in the UK until she moved to Australia in 2000. Liz assisted both Dr Zoldan and Dr Lassemillante from 2001 until September 2017. She had become a very familiar face for many of our patients during this time and had come to know and care about our regular visitors.
Dr Phillip Zoldan
Dr Phillip Zoldan, who has now retired, started the dental practice at 148 New South Head Road, Edgecliff, in 1997. He was well known and offered high quality restorative and aesthetic procedures, focusing on complex full mouth rehabilitations. He was a prolific member of the dental community, a member of the ADA NSW board and a clinical tutor at at the University of Sydney. Dr. Zoldan has now moved to Hobart and is spending his leisure time sailing on the River Derwent, improving his golfing skills (and his jokes!)
Doreen had been the practice manager and receptionist from 1998 until her retirement in early 2016. Doreen was known for always being kind, friendly and putting people at ease. Her organisational skills were exceptional and the systems that she put into place helped to shape the practice as it is today. Doreen is enjoying the beautiful surroundings in Hobart and has joined a walking group in the area and is planning to play more golf.
